Concession's monthly ticket is now priced at A $49, which is A $13.20 less than the previous A $62.20 and A $22.6 less than for a one-time ticket.

Transport Secretary Stephan Knoll said he would also review public transport fares in search of further improvements that could lead to an increase in the number of passengers travelling on public transport.

Adelaide Metro will also sell new 14-day passes at A $60 for ordinary passengers, A $29.50 for Concession and A $15.10 for students.

For new Metro Card buyers, there will be no more card fees, compared with A $5 for an ordinary card and A $3.50 for Concession.
