An Australian mother posted a job advertisement, but was accused of looking for "slaves" because of low wages, the Australian News Network reported.

The mother, from Perth, is reported to have posted a job advertisement on Facebook, a social networking platform, in the hope of finding a temporary worker to help her move.

The job is suitable for school leavers, housewives or temporarily unemployed people, according to the job advertisement, which involves only helping carry light items and large bulky items that her husband will be responsible for.

The job, however, requires A $500 a. M. to be paid every 20 days from 9: 00 a.m. to 3: 00 p.m. This is equivalent to an hourly salary of A $4 for successful candidates, well below Australia's minimum hourly wage of A $18.93.

In addition, successful candidates receive an additional A $50 fuel subsidy every 20 days and, if they perform well, there may be additional rewards.

However, the mother stated that successful candidates must work hard to keep them clean, pay attention to details, have a sense of time, be punctual, be honest and have a good and positive attitude.

After seeing the ad, one Facebook user was furious and sent the job screenshot to a group, contacted the mother privately and told her "it's totally unacceptable to treat people like this."

The user posted a post that also attracted a lot of comments from netizens. One netizen likened the job advertisement to being looking for slaves.

Others say they earned more at the age of 12 in 1983.

Others have questioned the need for 20 days to move.
