Lonely Planet (Lonely Planet) 's 2017 Best Travel Guide places South Australia among the top five in the world

According to the international travel company Lonely Planet (Lonely Planet), South Australia has become one of the world's top five must-see regions in 2017.

Lonely Planet's 2017 Best Travel Guide, featuring the world's top tourist regions, cities, and countries, describes South Australia as "a delicious meal for anyone", and South Australia is the only nominated state in Australia.

South Australia is the fifth, in Peru's Choquequirao, New Zealand's Tarranaki, The Azores of Portugal and North Wales in the United Kingdom.

In 2014, Lonely Planet nominated Adelaide as one of the top 10 tourist cities in the world.

The 66-kilometer Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail, which will open earlier this month, is also mentioned in the guide as "the best of any new open site."

"from the northernmost part of South Australia to Kangaroo Island, and everything in between, South Australia has some of the world's most beautiful scenery, a variety of regions, as well as food and wine," said Tourism Minister Leon Bignell.

"We know that South Australia is a good place to live and home to some of the best national events, and these honors will help thousands of people from other states and overseas find what our state can offer."

Mr Bignell said tourists contribute nearly A $6 billion a year to the South Australian economy, much of which is spent in various parts of South Australia.

He says tourism work has grown to 4000, or 14%, over the past two years.
