Big! The parents'5-year temporary visa will be implemented in July 2017, and the five details are worth paying attention to.

Last night, Assistant Immigration Minister Alex Hawke said publicly that goverment would introduce a new temporary guaranteed parent visa starting in July 2017, giving immigrant parents a five-year visa, and that the parents'"quasi-green cards" were finally given a clear timetable.

This was confirmed in subsequent press releases.

We have previously reported that the difficulty in affecting policy implementation is how to ensure sustainability and not increase the burden on taxpayers. For example, ensure that the already overburdened health care system does not add to the burden.

Therefore, with the implementation of the policy, there are five major details worthy of attention:

1. Immigrant parents applying for the visa must take out private health insurance and obtain financial guarantees from their children.

(2) the new visa will take effect in July 2017, when the new five-year temporary visa will allow parents to live in Australia for a period of up to five years, without having to leave the country and to travel multiple times; Instead of the current visitor visa, a maximum of 12 months out of 18 months, that is, six months to leave the country. This obviously increases the burden of parents of immigrant families and the hardship of family separation.

This temporary visa is open to Australian citizens, permanent residents and parents of eligible New Zealand Citizens.

4. Visa fees have not yet been announced, but Assistant Immigration Minister Alex Hawke said it was certainly a reasonable and affordable figure compared to the current immigration policy.

The next step now is for communities to discuss policy details extensively. It then compiles new parents' visas to Australia by October 31, 2016, and allows Congress to review and approve them.

It is said that the Indian community has been widely circulated last night, hoping that the majority of Chinese groups can also give constructive advice, can send emails to [email protected], after all is closely related to everyone's interests.
