According to the Daily Mail, if you look above your ankles, Sydney's man, Ashley Maxwell-Lam, looks no different from the millions of commuters who go in and out of the office building every day. But what makes him special is the shoes he wears.

Maxwell Lamb, a 30-year-old gay man who came to Sydney, a more inclusive group of homosexuals, after his father died and worked as a project manager at a bank, must wear stiletto heels every day when he leaves the house. It made him look different.

Swir-Lamb said the incident was controversial because no one expected a six-foot-tall man to wear a pair of six-inch heels. While most people's reaction is acceptable, some less gay-friendly groups say "it looks disgusting."

A year ago, a tall-looking female colleague told him that high heels made her feel confident and strong. After thinking about it, Swir Lamb ran to a shoe store and tried it out like opening the door to the new world. He said he became very confident, feeling invincible, just like he could do anything.

So far, Swir Lamb has nine pairs of heels, four for work and five for fun.
