Melbourne's stupid driver was photographed running a red light and set fire to the camera.

Melbourne drivers set fire to cameras in an attempt to destroy evidence of violation (Pioneer Sun Photo)

On Monday morning, a Melbourne man was photographed for driving illegally, setting fire to a camera in an attempt to escape a ticket.

At about 6 a.m. on Monday, a man in Melbourne climbed onto a pole at the intersection of (Punt Rd) on Pont Road and (High St) on High Street to set fire to illegal cameras, the Pioneer Sun reported. The whole process was photographed with a cell phone by a witness.

The arson caused some damage to the illegal cameras and witnesses handed over clues to police for investigation.

Police officer Monton (George Mondon) said the incident could have originated from cameras that caught men in violation, who discovered the camera flash and therefore tried to destroy evidence of the violation. However, men's "efforts" were too stupid and too late, and all photos taken by illegal cameras were uploaded to the Justice Department's (Department of Justice) system in real time.

Monton said it was the first time that such a thing had happened and it was not clear how men would climb the pole or whether they would use ladders or other equipment. The police can only make a preliminary judgment that his intention is to destroy the evidence of guilt.

The men's actions add to the crime and face additional criminal sabotage charges, in addition to fines.
