Vacations are Australia's biggest entertainment spending, and Australians spend more on overseas trips than ever, according to (ABC).
Australians spend about $172 a week on entertainment, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Household Expenditure Survey released last year.
This is slightly lower than 2009-10, when leisure consumption was 184 yuan a week.
In 2015 / 16, households spent 76 yuan a week on vacation, up nearly 30 percent from 2009 / 10, while spending on overseas holidays rose 50 percent.
The biggest drop in spending was television: Australian households spent nearly 60% less than in 2009-10.
