Billionaire mistress died, cursing passers-by to bite the police was sentenced

The mistress of the late billionaire Richard Pratt was tried in court, Sydney. She beat a widow, bit a policeman and cursed the police on Friday afternoon.

On Wednesday, the Downing Central District Court tried Shari-Lea Hitchcock for an accident in March 2016.

Shari-Lea was hobbling along Oxford Street in high heels as a policeman and a nice widow came up to help her, but she cursed them both.

Local judge Jennifer Atkinson said that when Jan Haswell found Shari-Lea Hitchcock leaning against a roadside railing, she tried to guide Shari-Lea away from the road and stooped to pick up the socialite's glasses.

But when the police arrived to take her away, he shouted, "I'm not going anywhere."

Unable to tell the police where she lives and trying to stop a police officer from taking notes, the "desperately in need" socialite was arrest.

Soon she broke free from the police, bit the woman in the leg, and kicked the woman in the chest.

Judge Atkinson said: "judging from all the evidence, she is doing everything she can to break free."

Hitchcock pleaded not guilty to alleged ordinary attacks on, assault police and resistance to arrest.

Her lawyer questioned the legality of her arrest, arguing that it would not have happened if his client were allowed to take a taxi home.

"it's not good to have these things because Hitchcock just wants to go home," defense attorney Bryan Wrench said on court Wednesday.

"she's too drunk," Atkinson said. "I'm not sure she's going home."

Atkinson said she was unable to find any remorse or repentance on Hitchcock because Hitchcock had never explained what she had done that day.

Atkinson judge sentenced Hitchcock to two years of guarantee bail, for assault on police officers and set up two 12-month guarantee bail. For the lighter accusation

The socialite and Pratt have been dating for 18 years and have a daughter. The industrial tycoon died in 2009, worth about $4 billion.

In April, Australia's financial review listed Pratt's successor, son Anthony, as the richest man in the country, with an estimated $129 billion worth.

In 2015, Hitchcock reached a settlement with Pratt's legacy.
