Internationally renowned photographer Tunick (Spencer Tunick) has obtained permission from Australian supermarket chain giant Woolworths to conduct mass nude photography in the parking lot of (Prahran) supermarket stores in Prahan, Melbourne.

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, American photographer Nick Turnick will conduct group nude photography in the parking lot on the top floor of the (Chapel Street) Woolworths supermarket store in Melbourne's Inner City Church Street. Turnik is famous for taking pictures of large naked people in public, including the Australian landmark Sydney Opera House (Sydney Opera House).

Turnick's shooting was requested by local business groups in Melbourne as a key event for the Melbourne Winter Arts Festival. It is said that 10,000 people have signed up to participate in the shooting.

Woolworths had refused to do so because it was scheduled for a busy weekend, fearing that it would have an impact on customers. However, the organizers suggested that the shooting date could be arranged until Monday, and the supermarket finally agreed.

It is reported that the shooting is scheduled for July 9, the whole shooting process is expected to last an hour. The organizers called on participants to arrive on public transport to make sure there were parking spaces for supermarket customers.

A spokesman for the Woolworths supermarket chain said the company has been supporting the local festival and has shown flexibility in organizing the festival to ensure that weekend customers are not inconvenienced.

The company therefore agreed to temporarily empty the roof for Turnick to shoot.
