Huang Xiaoming filmed tourism promotion films in South Australia and was watched 5 billion times.

China-Australia relations have not been smooth in recent months, problems continue, but this has not affected Australia's tourism.

Last year, Huang Xiaoming endorsed more than a billion views of the South Australian tourist promotional film, bringing a large number of Chinese tourists to tourist attractions across the country. Huang Xiaoming and South Australia Tourism Board signed a one-year agreement last year, now half-time.

Since February, Huang's promotional photos have appeared in newspapers, shopping malls, bus stops and social media. There are 30 Chinese travel agencies using Huang Xiaoming to South Australia photo promotion. The South Australia Tourism Board said the video or related articles might have been viewed more than 5 billion times.

The South Australia Tourism Board did not say how much it paid for the deal with Huang Xiaoming. But Huang Xiaoming will also go to South Australia to shoot some propaganda films. South Australia's Rodney Harrex said Chinese tourists spent a total of A $389 million last year and expect that figure to rise to 450 million yuan by 2020.

Earlier this year, the state tourism bureau took a similar step, inviting Li of China to make a series of promotional films, hoping to have the same publicity effect.
