The end! Australia's most vulnerable area to the tsunami is here. Why don't you run for your life?

Australia's "rise" is one of the most vulnerable countries to a tsunami, with the West Australian coast most likely to be hit by the tsunami and the east coast potentially at risk.

Geoscience Australia released a Tsunami disaster probability Assessment (PTHA) report on Monday detailing areas that could be hit by a tsunami.

The west Australian coast is close to Indonesia's active seismic belt, putting it at greater risk of tsunami than any other region, data show.

Remember the prediction that Australia would suffer a massive tsunami?

Dale Dominey-Howes, co-director of the Australian Tsunami Research Centre at the University of New South Wales, said: this time around, the tsunami has created a real threat for all of Australia!

Even worse, such a devastating disaster is unpredictable! It can't be prevented! Perhaps in the last minute before the disaster, it is still calm.

But by the time people react, everything is already there. It's too late!

Tsunamis are usually triggered by earthquakes and landslides, but may also be triggered by meteorite impacts. But, meteorite impact, there is no way to predict it!

No one can escape life in the face of a catastrophe!

Much of the New South Wales coast, including Sydney, faces the risk of a tsunami: a startling red on the risk chart!

HIGH RISK!

The latest tsunami modeling updates dace-old data and will be used for disaster risk management, evacuation planning and infrastructure planning. Since Europeans settled in Australia, there have been 50 tsunamis in Australia, said Dr Gareth Davies, a hazard modeler.

He said the tsunami that affected Australia's coast was caused by subduction-zone earthquakes in the Indian and Pacific Ocean.

"in Australia, the northwest coast of Western Australia is more likely to suffer a tsunami than the east or southwest coast because it is close to the boundary of the Indonesian plate, where there is a long seismic belt."

In addition, Dr. Davies said the East Coast could also be hit by a tsunami.

Australia's east coast is likely to be affected by earthquakes from the Kermadec-Tonga trench and other sources: the: New Hebrides trench, the Solomon trench, the Puysegur trench, and even the South American trench.

"if the earthquake in these places causes a tsunami, the tsunami will reach the Australian coast within 3 to 15 hours."

The Australian Tsunami warning Center, run jointly by the Australian Geosciences and Meteorology Agency, said the technology could now provide Australia with at least 90 minutes of tsunami warning.

"the new methods updated in 2018 were tested using 10 years of Pacific deep-sea tsunami data to confirm their true picture of tsunami behavior," Dr. Davies said.

"these data will enable us to more accurately estimate the projected tsunami risk at a given location. To minimize the danger of the tsunami. "
