Police received reports of a shooting at a house near, Fraser Island. The paramedics are treating three wounded.
A police spokesman said they received an alarm at around 6:40 in the morning.

Paramedics say one of the wounded was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital and is in critical condition.
The spokesman said they were still treating the second victim at the scene and were determining whether a third was present.

Kunzhou Governor Annastacia Palaszczuk sent condolences to the Hervey Bay community.
Governor Palaszczuk told the state parliament on Thursday morning: "this senseless act of violence must be stopped."

Police classified the death of two women as suspicious, but did not see any doubt about the death of a 79-year-old man.

Detective David Briese said his 79-year-old father, 68-year-old mother and their 50-year-old daughter died.
