Chinese people can go to a good school for their children, in fact, the parents of Australia are the same. During Easter, dozens of parents spent the night in tents outside Seven Hills State Elementary School in eastern Brisbane to give their children access to the school.
The Forrest couple were first in line, even though their children were only three years old. They say the public school has a good reputation and there is no need to waste money on private school. So they came in line.
Although they get the number in line, they'll have to wait until later this year to know if the child has signed up, a process that has made them miserable.
More than 20 parents are reported to have lined up outside the school during Easter.
