A koala "dog planer" swims across the Harriet River (Harriet River) on kangaroo island (Kangaroo Island), the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported. The video sparked the excitement of thousands of social media users.

The video was uploaded by Joey (Joe) and Jenkins (Jas) from Magella (Mandurah). They are traveling around Australia and writing online blog posts about their adventures.

Joey and Jenkins posted the video on March 11 and asked in an online post, "have you seen koala swimming?"

"We've never seen it before, until we met this lovely little guy, who heats up for himself. Take a look at the dog's plank-like pose! "

The video has been viewed 8000 times and shared on Facebook 8000 times.

Although koalas have drowned in a swimming pool while looking for water in their backyard, koala may actually swim as a tree-dwelling mammal, as long as they get out of the water.

The koala in the video swam across the river safely. After swimming, the koala was seen back to sleep on the tree, according to a Facebook post.
