In 1951, Ben Fugelanch sold A $50,999.

One of the highest-priced bottles in Australian history was a 1951 bottle of Pengrich Glaxo (Penfolds Grange), which sold for more than A $50,999.

On July 19, the 1951 bottle of Ben rich Ge Lan Xu red wine was sold at an auction of (MW Wins), the MW wine company, for A $51,749. The MW wine company, (Collingwood), in Corinwood, a suburb of Melbourne, sold for A $51,749. Gracie is a professional wine company that manages Glaxo Old Age Wine.

The bottle was bought by a local collector who declined to be named, the Sydney Morning Herald (The Sydney Morning Herald) reported. The last record price for the vintage was set up in 2004 for A $50, 000; in 2009, another bottle was sold for A $43,700.

Nick Stamford, general manager of MW Wine, said the results of the auction were "incredible". Granger's total output for that year was about 160 cartons, and it is estimated that up to 20 bottles are still available.

1951 was the first year in which the great Australian winemaker Max Schubert made Gracie. In the late 1940s, after visiting Bordeaux (Bordeaux) and the (Rhone Valley) region of the Rhone Valley, Schubert spawned the idea of making non-fortified wines from Silas (Shiraz) grapes.

But Glaxo's first year of sale was 1952, when most of the 1951 wine was given away by Schubert. Due to poor sales, Benrich Chateau informed Schubert to stop producing the series of wines. But Schubert secretly brewed the wine (the famous "unofficial" year) from 1957 to 1959, and it was not until 1960 that the series was revived.
