40, 000 Australian women upgrade cup every year, breast cancer may come like tsunami

Since 2010, there have been major outbreaks of breast augmentation surgery in Australia, which is expected to face a tsunami of breast implant-related cancer cases in the coming years.

Nearly 40, 000 women are now installing breast implants each year, up from about 20000 in 2010.

What worries experts most is that most women implant texture implants associated with cancer risk.

The surge in breast augmentation surgery began in 2010 and accelerated in 2013, shortly after controversial discount provider The Cosmetic Institute began offering breast implants for only about 6000 yuan in 2012.

The supplier uses cancer-related texture implants and is understood to be able to buy them at a discount because it orders a large number of products.

Research suggests it will take about 7.5 years for cancer to develop, and experts say the surge in reported cases this year is the first sign of a tsunami coming.

"my concern is that there will be tsunami-like cases of discount providers over the next two or three years." Anand. Professor Dewar (Anand Deva) warned.

The discount provider became the focus after six, The Cosmetic Institute patients suffered life-threatening complications, including seizures and cardiac arrest, according to a 2015 (Health Care Complaints Commission) survey by the Health Complaints Commission.

Two women, Amy, 24. Rick Haas and another 42-year-old woman had to undergo cardio-pulmonary surgery on the operating table and were taken to hospital for treatment.

The Cosmetic Institute entered bankruptcy liquidation proceedings in October 2016.

In 2017, hundreds of women took part in a class-action lawsuit against the service provider, accusing them of negligence in breast augmentation resulting in chest deformities and even life-threatening complications.

Most of the 16 women worldwide who died from breast implant-related cancer were diagnosed and treated too late, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported.

That's why experts believe women who have breast implants need to be examined every 12 months.

FDA said two patients died of cancer as a result of active treatment involving stem cell transplantation, and another 13 died of respiratory failure as a result of cancer transfer to the chest wall.

Experts recommended complete removal of the implant and surrounding tissue, but none of these dead patients took it.
