Australians ranked the most livable cities in their hearts, Sydney and Melbourne came to the bottom.

Recently, Australia has become the world's first screen swipe. Compared with the rest of the world, Australia is-

  • One of the most livable countries in the world
  • One of the best countries in the world for live a retired life
  • One of the countries with the highest national happiness index in the world

A while ago, Mercer, one of the world's largest human resources companies, released its list of the world's most livable cities in 2019.

Sydney ranked 11 in the world and Melbourne 17 in the world.

In another highly credible list last year, economics people's Information Service (EIU) released a list of "the World's Best livable cities" and "quality of Life Index", with Sydney fifth in the world and Melbourne second in the world.

As if Melbourne and Sydney were recognized as the second most livable cities in the world,

And what is the most livable city in the eyes of Australians?

A recent authoritative survey came as a surprise.

1. The Australian living Index report was released recently, supported by Ipsos (Ipsos), and realestate.com.au released an Australian living Index report. The study, conducted in October, asked Australians to list 16 factors, such as local schools, as the main factors they were looking for in their ideal place of residence, and how they rated them in their cities.

In this index survey, Australia's most livable city is

Canberra has been rated the most livable city for the third year in a row, with local residents surpassing the national average for confidence in their city.

Canberra is also Australia's only capital city to list high-quality education opportunities as the top five livable factors.

And what's surprising is:

Melbourne and Sydney, the world's most livable cities, are not as livable as Australians.

The two cities are ranked 6th and 7th respectively.

Double bottom!

While statistics show a steady decline in crime, Melbourne residents say they feel less safe than they were five years ago. At the same time, Melbourne people feel they can no longer afford to buy the house.

Rising house prices and tight loan conditions also make Sydney feel bad about their city.

Sydney residents ranked Sydney the second most uninhabitable city in Australia for the third year in a row.

Although Melbourne and Sydney did not perform well, there was potential for a dark horse: last place in 2017, the second most livable city in 2019: Perth.

Perth's rise is surprising, but thanks in large part to the fact that Perth residents feel the country's economic status is the best in the country.

Adelaide also rose two places compared to 2017 to become Australia's third-largest livable city because of economic growth and improved employment prospects.

Hobart was down three places from 2017, with rising housing costs having a negative impact on its livable ranking. It currently ranks fifth in livable terms.

Darwin was at the bottom of the list, with locals calling it Australia's most uninhabitable city.

2. For most Australians, it is more important to live in safe areas where good health care and economic rooms are available than in parks and cafes, according to the most important and latest data from the residential sense of security.

Of the 9515 Australians surveyed, 67 percent said sense of security was one of the most important factors in making a region a livable place, according to the Australian living Index report, published by Ipsos Consulting firm Ipsos.

Australians now feel less secure about where they live than they did four years ago, according to the realestate.com.aulife in Australia index report and its 2015 survey.

The economics family, Cornbetter than (Nerida Conisbee), was not surprised. Safety, she says, is a top priority for tenants and homeowners.

"these factors will determine the success or failure of the suburbs. If you don't feel safe, you're not likely to consider that suburb," she said.

And the important considerations for Australians to choose their place of residence are:

  • High-quality medical services (60%)
  • Affordable decent housing (58 per cent)
  • Good prospects for local employment (41%).

If the cities with good health care are ranked high, especially's good health care is often related to whether the local health infrastructure is matched with the population.

The growing conflict between Melbourne and Sydney in recent years between population growth and unequal distribution of information has disturbed locals.

While Australia has the highest hourly wage in the world, employment and pay growth in recent years have not been ideal. At the same time, rising housing prices and rising cost of living have made local people more focused on housing affordability.

"if you look at research on global housing affordability, all of Australia's capital cities are in the top 20, so compared to other countries, Housing affordability in Australia is a big concern, according to the report. "

The data also show that people prefer reliable and efficient public transport (33 percent) to no road congestion (19 percent), while proximity to the natural environment (32 percent) is more important than being able to watch or participate in sports and recreation (7 percent).

In other words, Australians are tired of slow and road-building traffic, and prefer the cities they live in to more natural environments than recreational sports buildings.

Strong community awareness (26%) is also an important place for Australians to live.

Finally, perhaps the most livable city in Australians' minds is not in line with the world ranking, but it reflects more of the happiness of local people's lives and sense of security.

This may have a certain significance for the development of Australian cities in the future.
