Sydney and Melbourne are in the top 10 in the global ranking of quality of life in cities

Although Sydney has warmer weather and prettier beaches, Melbourne residents have a better quality of life, according to a report by (Deutsche Bank), a German bank.

It is reported that Deutsche Bank analyzed 56 cities around the world according to the cost and quality of life of its residents, including commuting time, safety, pollution, health care, housing price-to-income ratio and cost of living. Finally, the 2019 global quality of life ranking.

The results showed that Zurich, Switzerland, jumped from the second place last year, becoming the world’s best city of life, followed by Wellington, Copenhagen, Edinburgh and Vienna.

Australia's two major cities, Melbourne ranked seventh, Sydney ranked 10th.

The rest of the top 10 cities included Helsinki, the capital of Finland, ranking sixth. Boston and San Francisco ranked eighth and ninth, respectively.

Deutsche Bank also analyzed the income of residents.

The results show that, San Francisco beat Zurich to become the highest paid place for employed people in the world. Sydney and Melbourne ranked sixth and ninth respectively in monthly income and rental costs. The two cities are also among the top 10 in the world in terms of monthly transport costs, ranking sixth and 10th, respectively.

In terms of cost of living, Zurich, Oslo and Copenhagen are the most expensive cities to go out at night.

Melbourne, Oslo and Sydney are the most expensive in terms of wine and cigarettes.

Milan, Copenhagen and Zurich are the most expensive cities to travel on weekends.

The cheapest cities for coffee are Milan, Buenos Aires and Rome.

The cities with the lowest Internet costs are Moscow, Istanbul and New Delhi.
