Government has created one hundred and sixty one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine jobs for future industries and has generated 11 billion yuan (Australian dollars) of economic growth for the state since 2014, according to the latest data released by the state's government.
Food and fiber products, medical technology and pharmaceuticals, transportation and construction technology and professional services accounted for about half of all jobs created by government, the state's government website reported Monday.
In the past 12 months, employment in the future industry has increased by 38,500 people. Through the Future Industry Fund, Victoria government has also provided more than 30 million yuan in financial aid to more than 150 enterprises and has led to nearly 150 million yuan of investment.
At the same time, government partnered with research partners to provide a wide range of targeted industry development recommendations, including food innovation centres, regional manufacturing clusters and new financial centres.
Industry in the future is creating more jobs for the state, said Carol (Ben Carroll), the director of employment for the state's industry.
