These little colored houses in Sydney are on fire! Can you guess what they're for?

In many Australian cities, there are mysterious little houses: they appear on street corners from time to time, they are colorful, they are strange.

Some of these strange little houses are made of refrigerators, some are TV cabinets and some are goldfish tanks! Can you think of what these little houses are for?

They're actually a mini-street library around the corner!

What is a street library? The Street Library is essentially a mini-library where people are encouraged to borrow and share books.

It is free, no debit card or late payment.

They can appear anywhere, but many are hidden in the streets of Sydney's residential neighborhoods, as Sidney has seen in Newtown.

This concept, originally from abroad, has now spread all over the world.

"because of it, I've known neighbors I haven't seen in 15 years":

The woman from Canberra is Jyoti Dambiec, her favorite street library, which she set up behind her home two months ago.

"it's a way for people to pause for a while, talk and build community networks," she said.

TV cabinet library:

Mrs Dambiec and her friends made a mini-library of TV cabinets full of books, including novels, essays and children's books.

Angharad Lodwick set up a rabbit-themed street library in Hughes Street.

"I like rabbits very much. We have Peter Rabbit, Walter Hill, Alice in Wonderland," said Angharad Lodwick, an avid Peter Rabbit enthusiast.

Each panel of her library is painted in different colors, representing different books.

Refrigerator Library:

Ms Lodwick set up a library around the corner with an abandoned refrigerator, filled with detective novels.

At Christmas, Lodwick found a card from another library in her library with words encouraging her and inviting her to visit her own library.

, Roz Martiniello, Shah Bahpyu and her daughter decided to explore all the street libraries in Canberra.

The three fanatical readers are visiting all the street libraries in Canberra.

They said, "in these libraries, we have found some wonderful books that we would never have met before."

Street Library Registration website:

Address: https://streetlibrary.org.au/find

By the end of 2015, an Australian website, Street Library, had been launched to allow people to register their libraries. This website lists all the registered street libraries in Canberra.

After reading these creative and childlike mini-libraries, do you want to meet them unexpectedly? Maybe a turn around, on a street corner, you can meet a mini-library.

If you have time, the editor also wants to explore all the street libraries, like philatelic, to feel the creativity of the people of Tu'ao.
