A gifted rower in Brisbane was killed by a pickup truck while jogging on his birthday.

On June 5, Brisbane rower Davis (Caroline Davis) celebrated his 33rd birthday, according to Radio 9. At about 7 am that day, Davis jogged past the intersection of (Honour Avenue), Chermer (Chelmer) 's Avenue of Honor, and (Bridge Street), Bridge Street, when he was hit by a pickup truck. Davis, seriously injured in his head, was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital (Princess Alexandra Hospital) for help and died hours later.

Davis's relative, Bauer (Di Ball), said Davis was "beautiful, a talented niece and goddaughter," and that "the family was in a state of collapse."

(Ian Holzberger), president of the GPS rowing club in Brisbane, wrote in tribute on the social networking site Facebook. "Thank you for everything Davis has brought to the canoeing community, especially our club, so that we can always remember intelligence and fun," he said. Energetic and lively, she made so much contribution to rowing.

Acting inspectors said the pickup truck driver involved was a young woman, drug tests and alcohol tests were negative. (Forensic Crash Unit), a forensic car accident investigation team, is investigating the accident.
