New survey: adults in Australia need at least A $600 a week to live a normal life.

When it comes to living expenses, how much money does it take to make a healthy and comfortable life in Australia every month?

According to the survey, the answer for most people is: a little more than it is now. But the embarrassment is that no matter how much money one earns, one will never be satisfied.

Persuading ourselves is just a way. As the saying goes, "people are better than dead." since there is no way to compare people to people, we might as well set a standard. How much money do we need to earn in Australia to live a normal life and to ensure at least good health and comfort?.

Experts from the Social Policy Research Centre Institute at the University of New South Wales announced a new Australian income survey, led by Australian sociologists Professor Peter Saunders and Professor Megan Bedford, and the results came as a surprise.

What do you mean, basic, healthy life in Australia?

Australian experts define that non-smoking, a small amount of alcohol a week, can effectively meet the basic needs of daily needs, food, housing and transportation, adults and children to lead a normal and healthy life.

Of course, this standard is not a "poverty line" but specifically defined normal community life to ensure full health and normal life.

Australia's low-income families, for example, have to have a car. The standard car is a used Toyota Carola, which has been in operation for five years.

Non-smoking, but at the same time healthy standard requires families to have a few glasses of "wine money" every week, to meet the basic standard of health and entertainment.

The survey found that every adult in Australia had to spend at least A $600 a week on a daily basis to count as a standard Australian healthy life.

If we simply calculate the month, then it will cost at least A $2500 a month.

For young couples without children, they need at least A $830 a week. Simple conversion to the month, it is 3400 Australian dollars.

If there is one child, the cost will rise to at least A $970 a week. If there are two children, it is $1170 a week. About A $3950 a month and A $4750 a month, respectively.

Of course, this is only the most basic line of healthy life in Australia, if you happen to live in big cities such as Sydney or Melbourne, consumer prices are higher, then the pressure is greater.

If you are not an Australian citizen who holds a student, job or PR visa, then you are not entitled to the benefits of low-income people, then this is even more difficult for you.

Simply put, $600 a week can only guarantee your most basic survival in Australia.

Before that, Australian statisticians had just announced how much money they needed in Australia to be considered wealthy. The results of the investigation surprised many people.

The findings show that in Australia, $5.3 million of bank deposits can be referred to as "rich people"!

The 2000 adults surveyed said: rising house prices and rising costs of living allow $5.3 million of bank deposits to allow them to have sense of security.

It is reported that this figure in previous years is $1 million. In previous years, most people thought that $1 million in bank deposits was enough to keep them safe.

Of course, the figure of $5.3 million is the average. In fact, there is a gap between men's and women's expectations for bank deposits. Men think $5.9 million of bank deposits are enough to be called rich people, while women think $4.8 million is enough.

Parents of children under the age of 10 believe that 3.7 million of their savings can be counted as wealthy, while families with teenagers think it takes at least 8.2 million to enter the rich class.

Figures show that Darwin is the most expensive city in Australia, followed by Perth and Sydney third. Melbourne is indeed the most livable city, with the No. 11 living expenses and the 12th place on the Gold Coast.

Recently, many Chinese are more willing to live on the Gold Coast because prices are much lower than in other cities in addition to a pleasant climate.

Australia is one of the most human-friendly countries, but definitely not the cheapest. It takes at least A $600 a week to live a normal life. No wonder many Australians say they can't save money. After all, the weekly salary of a lot of jobs in Australia is just a little over $600.
