Emergency notice: abalone fishing in Western Australia cancelled on Saturday

Recent months have been one of the most attractive projects in Western Australia-the official Open fishing Day for abalone catch.

This year, government has opened four fishing times, and Weimper has reported many times.

This year's abalone season in Western Australia, is about to start! 2018 new rules and its catch abalone introduction

Abalone fishing season starts this Saturday, 70% of them are Chinese, fishing minister has something to say to you! People died last year, this year must put safety in the first place

"I was checked out today and photographed on the headlines of the Australian media!" WeChat and thousands of Perpers took part in the fishing of abalone this morning

Yes, because it's so popular, we've reported abalone fishing several times this year.

This year's opening season is from December last year to mid-February and there are only four open days, four Saturday mornings, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., and one hour to catch abalone.

As the next fishing day approaches, on the second Saturday of January, however, yesterday afternoon an urgent notice was issued by the fisheries department in Western Australia.

The opening hours of abalone fishing day, originally scheduled for 7: 00 am on Saturday (January 12), have been cancelled

The reason for the cancellation, according to the Western Australian Fisheries Department, is that the weather forecast is bad. It means bad weather!

A number of media also urgently reproduced the fisheries department's notice, afraid to let abalone enthusiasts run for nothing!

Perhaps the people who live in Perth feel that the weather has been beautiful and sunny these days. It's a nice day! How to cancel abalone fishing for weather reasons, you may as well consult to see the news published by www.fish.wa.gov.au. Fisheries authorities are concerned not with weather in Perth, but with tidal weather on the ocean.

And this week's cancellation of the abalone fishing open day was adopted on the recommendation of the Western Australian Surfing Life Saving Association (Surf Life Saving WA).

The association's experts expect tides on the coast of southern Western Australia to enter a period of high expansion from 11 to 12 January, which will lead to a surge of ocean tides on coral reef platforms where fishing is taking place, resulting in potentially unsafe conditions. And this happens even on sunny days and when the wind is low.

Note that the closed fishing area is "West Coast Zone," which is below the Moore River estuary to the north of the image above Busselton and, of course, the Perth area.

But the area south of Busselton is not banned.

Don't be resentful about this cancellation, government officials are still very human! Because, at the end of the entire open fishing season, an open day for abalone may be added to make up for the cancellation.
