The Melbourne Museum is part of the Museums Victoria organization and is one of the most popular museums and tourists attractions in Australia. It’s also the largest museum in the Southern Hemisphere and its primary focus is to showcase cultural and natural history. It houses fossils of prehistoric creatures to the remains of unique aquatic specimens like the pygmy blue whale and the deep sea perch. There are also exhibits that detail the development of Melbourne as well as sections created by the Aboriginal Victorians that detail their humble beginnings to how they’ve integrated themselves to contemporary times. This is one of the prime attractions in the country to visit if you’re looking to be educated with the rich history of Australia and Melbourne.
