  • Currently on show in Melbourne Museum’s touring hall, is Revolutions: Records and Rebels. It uses film, music and objects to consider the seismic changes of the 1960s and the impact this period had on the way we live today, and how we think about tomorrow.

The Melbourne Museum is part of the Museums Victoria organization and is one of the most popular museums and tourists attractions in Australia. It’s also the largest museum in the Southern Hemisphere and its primary focus is to showcase cultural and natural history. It houses fossils of prehistoric creatures to the remains of unique aquatic specimens like the pygmy blue whale and the deep sea perch. There are also exhibits that detail the development of Melbourne as well as sections created by the Aboriginal Victorians that detail their humble beginnings to how they’ve integrated themselves to contemporary times.   • Visitors aged 0-16 and concession card holders can enter the museum for free

  • All large bags, umbrellas, or bulky items must be deposited in the cloakroom. The cloakroom's space is limited

  • You're welcome to record films and take pictures in the museum so long as they're for non-commercial purposes except in areas where signs say that doing so isn't allowed

  • The museum is wheelchair and stroller-accessible

  • You must abide by any warnings and instructions issued by the museum staff. For safety reasons, footwear must be worn at all times
