Introduction

(Moreton Island), located on the southeast coast of Queensland, is the third largest sandy island in the world with an area of about 171 square kilometers across from (Moreton Bay), the capital of Queensland, and Brisbane, the capital of Queensland.

Located on the northernmost rocky promontory of Morton Island, Cape Moreton Lighthouse provides lighting to and from ships. Built in 1857 using sandstone collected from the island, Cape Moreton Lighthouse is Queensland's oldest lighthouse and for a long time the only light source on the entire eastern coast of Australia. There were four other lighthouses in addition to Cape Moreton Lighthouse, Morton, but, Cape Moreton Lighthouse is the only remaining one due to seawater erosion.

Moreton Island is located on the high point of the cliff, in front of the lighthouse view platform, can overlook the beauty of the entire Morton Island.
