Lake Alexander is located on the northern outskirts of Darwin, the northern suburb of the Northern Territory, and is part of the East Point Reserve (East Point Reserve), about 5 km from the city of Darwin.
Built in 1991, Lake Alexander is a man-made lake that comes from the waters of (Fannie Bay), nearby Vanni Bay, named in honor of (Alec Fong Lim), who was mayor of Darwin from 1984 to 1990.
Lake Alexander is located on the peninsula, overlooking the magnificent view of (Beagle Gulf) in Bieger Bay.
Lake Alexander provides safe swimming throughout the year. In order to ensure a safe, Lake Alexander and is divided into swimming and sports areas, swimmers are separated from kayaks, sailboats and other water sports.
