Introduction

Daydream Island is one of the 74 islands of Whitsundays (Whitsundays) off the eastern coast of Queensland. It belongs to the famous World Natural Heritage Reef (Great Barrier Reef).

Daydream Island is the nearest island in Whitsundays to Airlie Beach (Airlie Beach) (30 minutes by boat). The dreamy name comes from a yacht called Daydream, which has been on the island since 1881. The island is small, about 1 kilometer long and 200 meters wide. It takes only 20 minutes to walk from south to north. The whole island now belongs to (Daydream Island Resort and Spa), the Daydream Island resort, but the island's sea swimming pool and battery cars are open to tourists free of charge.

Daydream Island features outdoor aquariums, all of which come from the Great Barrier Reef, raising sharks, tropical fish, stingray and all kinds of corals, especially for families with children. At the northern end of the island is the back garden of the hotel, with kangaroos, and to the seaside is Lover Bay (Lovers Cove), which is a coral beach with no sand and is all made up of corals. Walking in the sea water of Zhangman coral, colorful tropical fish swim around their feet, a picture per second. There is also a glass church facing the sea on Daydream Island, which can hold wedding, and the whole resort is more mature. Generally speaking, it is not only a suitable island for parents and children, but also a suitable destination for half-day island jumping.

Tip:

Daydream Island Resort is currently closed for renovation and is expected to reopen in August 2018.
