Introduction

Paluma Reservoir (Paluma Reservoir, also known as Lake Paruma Lake Paluma), is located north of (Paluma Range National Park), range National Park in northeast Queensland and covers an area of about 2 square kilometers.

Paluma Reservoir is a very charming lake with a clear water quality, a dam on the reservoir and a rainforest surrounding it, where the rainforest is part of the world's natural heritage: the humid tropics of Queensland, part of (Wet Tropics of Queensland). Reservoirs are also the main source of drinking water in surrounding towns. Paluma Reservoir is a popular resort camp with weather-free shelters for daytime use, as well as barbecues and campsites for long periods of time. Swimming and non-motorized vessels are allowed on the lake, and rare wildlife such as platypus, peregrine falcon and eastern shallow lizards live in the water. Because Paluma Reservoir camping is very popular, camping needs to pay and book in advance.

Parumar (Paluma), the nearest town to Paluma Reservoir, takes a 12-kilometer gravel road to reach.
