Introduction

Paruma range National Park (Paluma Range National Park) is located in the inland area of northern Queensland near the coastline, about 1420 kilometers by car from Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, and about 80 kilometers south from Townsville, a major town on the northern coast of Queensland. It is about 100km by car from the famous sugarcane-producing town of Inham (Ingham) and covers an area of 172km2.

Parumar range National Park belongs to the rainforest region and lives in a large number of rare birds. Most of the area of the National Park belongs to (IBA)., an important bird region identified by the International Bird Organization (International BirdLife International). Parumar Reservoir (Paluma Reservoir), Crystal Creek (Crystal Creek) and Chulama Falls (Jourama Falls) are the most famous attractions in Palumar range National Park.
