Beauty Point is on the West Tamar and is on the Tamar Valley Wine Route. The town is known for its friendliness and beauty overlooking the Tamar River. Near the gold town of Beaconsfield, the area was extensively planted with orchards, the fruit being exported around the world. The area’s natural beauty is now supplemented by great facilities, restaurants, café’s, Seahorse World, Platypus House, two yacht clubs and the Australian Maritime College.
