Yeppoon is a small coastal town in (Capricorn Coast), on the Capricorn Coast in eastern Queensland, about 145km south from (Keppel Bay), the seaport town of Gladstone, on the east coast, about 145km south. Southwest from the inland town of Rockhampton (Rockhampton) about 30 kilometers by car.
Yeppoon is known for its beaches, tropical climate and gulf islands. The sea east of Yeppoon is littered with 27 islands, large and small, of which (Great Keppel Island) is the largest and famous tourist resort island.
