Narrabri is located in the inland area of northern New South Wales, on the (Namoi River) side of the Naimoy River, about 520km from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales.
Narrabri is an agricultural town with cotton, wheat and animal husbandry as the mainstay of the local industry. Narrabri has a beautiful landscape. Kapata National Park (Mount Kaputar National Park) and Narrabri Paul Wilde Observatory (Paul Wild Observatory Narrabri) are the most famous tourist destinations around the town.
