Kadina is a small town in the north-west of (Yorke Peninsula), in southern South Australia, about 150km by car from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, and about 18km from Monta (Moonta), with a permanent population of about 4500. Kadina, the largest town on the Yorkshire Peninsula, was founded in 1861 and is a small town with a long history. The buildings that are not included in the historic heritage are:

As the largest town on York Peninsula, Kadina is a local service center where visitors can obtain all the travel information and booking services on the peninsula. In addition, the town's banks and currency museums are worth a visit by interested visitors.
