Introduction

Huonville is a small town in (Huon Valley), Hun Canyon, southern Tasmania, about 35 kilometers from Horbart, the capital of Tasmania.

Huonville, with a resident population of about 3000, is the largest town in Hun Canyon. The town was built along the fourth largest river in Tasmania, the Hun River (Huon River). In 1792, the French explorer Bruni D ü 39 Entrecasteaux named the Hun River after the captain of one of his ships, Hun Kermandek (Huon de Kermandec). The bottom of the Hun River is full of seaweed that releases tannic acid, an important ingredient of red wine, so the river is brown and sweet at the entrance, which is also known as "Tass Tea Tasmania Tea", and locals jokingly call it "Coke River Coke River" because the dark brown river is very similar to coke.

Huonville is famous for growing apples and is one of the birthplaces of Tasmania, which accounts for more than half of Tasmania's total production. In the Huonville area, there are large and small apple orchards along the road, basically except in winter, the freshest and sweetest apples can be bought here in other seasons. There are many self-help apple stores near the Huonville apple orchard. Orchard owners usually store some of the apples picked on the same day in some roadside house. No one in the store receives money. After the customer selects, put the money directly in the cash box. This has also become a special landscape of Huonville. If you want to explore Huonville's apple culture further, you have to go to Willie Smith's apple shed (Willie Smith's Apple Shed), an apple museum rebuilt from an apple warehouse, shows 386 different varieties of apples that have been planted in Tasmania, spectacular, and displays the lives of farmers of many different ages and a variety of farming tools, witnessing the century-old history of Huonville apple planting.

Huonville and Hun Valley are famous for their beautiful scenery and long history. Tourism is also an important part of Huonville. Various water sports on the Hun River, fishing in open waters, bird watching, hiking and so on are very popular activities. The famous Tahouen air aisle (Tahune AirWalk) is about 50 kilometers from Huonville.

The annual Hun Food Festival, held in March every year, (Taste of Huon) is the biggest festival in town, and all growers gather together to celebrate the harvest with all the proudest agricultural delicacies.
