Grafton is a small town in the northeast interior of New South Wales, close to the Queensland border, about 610km by car from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, and about 310km from Brisbane, the capital of Queensland.
Built on the (Clarence River) of the Clarence River, Grafton is the commercial center of the Clarence River Valley, with many historic buildings and shady streets, and the town officially established in 1851 is the home of an elegant colonial building. Once named one of the 10 most beautiful Australian towns by Australia's Voyager (Australian Travellor).
Grafton is well-known for its beautiful environment and green trees, especially blue-flowered couplets. The town has been named one of the 10 most beautiful Australian towns by (Australian Travellor) magazine in Australia. Every year there will be one of the world's most famous Grafton blue-flower couplets, (Grafton Jacaranda Festival), which usually starts at a weekend in October and ends on the first weekend in November, when the whole town looks like magic. The branches hanging with purple flowers are stacked one after another, and the ground is covered with purple petals, the fragrance of the flowers, when the wind rises, purple flowers fly, falling across the land, beautiful.
Grafton transportation is convenient, there is a plane from Sydney or train (North West NSW) can be reached directly.
