Charleville is a small inland town in (Shire of Murweh), Mowell County, in central Queensland. It is the largest town and administrative center in Wilshire, about 740km from Brisbane, the capital of Queensland.
Charleville is far from the hustle and bustle of big cities, and the night sky without any light pollution makes it a great place to watch stars and galaxies at night, while the expansion of the observatory, funded by state and local governments, further increases the number of tourists.
