How to play in Canberra in a day, this playbook may help you

 17 Jan 2019

Wake up in the morning, Kiama clear sky, without a trace of wind, yesterday's rough waves seem to be dreams. Take a special detour to see yesterday's spectacular sea fountain eruption, and everything turned out to be quite different from yesterday! The gentle sea was as calm as water, and there was no sign of yesterday's turbulent eruption of the sea fountain. Nature is wonderful.

Foggy Saddleback Mountain

Today's destination is Canberra, a three-hour drive from Kiama to Canberra. Along the way we visited the picturesque Saddleback Mountain. As soon as we entered the mountain area, it was hazy, and it obviously rained here last night. The air was filled with the fragrance of the earth after the moist rain, the lush and golden color of the mountains, the idle cattle from time to time breaking into the camera, and suddenly it seemed as if it had gone into a world of peaches.

Beautiful colors like oil paintings

Upon arrival in Canberra, we lived at the Canberra Motor Village (address on the edge of a large forest: 2 Kunzea Street,O'Connor,ACT 2602, a RV park not far from the center of the city. If lucky, you may see wild animals such as kangaroos. This close to the natural environment, is very difficult for the sister's family to experience in the country, so the accommodation is specially set here.

As we settled in, we went to visit Capitol Hill and the Capitol. When you go to Capitol Hill, you can park your car by the river, and then walk along the river. The scenery along the way is still very nice.

On the green grass, hobbling black swans, are they a family?

Canberra attractions

The grand fountain reminds me of the great fountain in Geneva

The fountain is quite spectacular from this point of view.

Like this tree, so green

Capitol Hill and Capitol

You can see the Australian flag flying high in front of the Capitol.

I think Capitol Hill and Capitol are well worth visiting and an important window to understand Australia's political culture. The new Capitol, located at the top of the capital Canberra, looks from the old parliament building. It is the perfect unity of architectural art, arts and crafts and decorative art. Access to the Capitol is to pass security checks, all sharp weapons and dangerous goods are not allowed to carry oh.

A glimpse inside the Capitol

This is the venue for the parliamentary debate, the witness to Australian democracy-many of the proposals on Australia's future and fate have been passed or aborted here after intense debate.

The view in front of the Capitol can see a pool of blue water in front of the Capitol.

Coming out of Capitol Hill, we took the other way back to the parking lot and saw different views. This is the look on the other side of the old Capitol.

This is a long-standing protest camp of aborigines across from the old Capitol, and the Australian government is helpless, but it cannot interfere.

In the indigenous protest camp and the old Capitol, there are several aborigines who remain in the protest camp.

War memorial

It was late, but we left Canberra tomorrow morning, so we didn't have a chance to visit the war memorial, so we decided to take a night trip to the war memorial.
