A series of Christmas decorations with images of Nazi concentration camps have been removed from Amazon after a complaint was filed by an online retailer.
The series includes a bell-shaped ornament characterized by a railway entrance to the main guard room of the Auschwitz II-Birkenau, as well as a magnetic bottle opener that describes the barbed wire in the camp.
The Auschwitz Memorial posted a picture of the product on Twitter on Monday, calling on Amazon to stop selling.
"Selling Christmas decorations with Auschwitz looks inappropriate," Twitter read.
"The `Auschwitz concentration camp` on the bottle opener is disquieting and disrespectful."
The museum`s tweets have been liked more than 25000 times, and some users have posted screenshots of complaints they sent to Amazon.
By Tuesday, the product had been removed from the site.
Amazon speaker told Metro.co.uk: "all sellers must abide by our sales guidelines, otherwise sellers will be subject to sanctions, including the consequences of account deletion."
"the product has been deleted," speaker said.
According to the retailer`s material policy, products related to human tragedy cannot be sold on the site.
However, the policy does not apply to books, music and DVD.
"We maintain these policies to ensure a good business environment for global customers and sales partners, as well as the widest range of commodity choices in the world," the policy said.
"We continue to promote trust and respect and abide by law."
One tweet read: "Thank you for responding here, report, and exerting pressure."

During World War II, Nazi killed about 1.1 million people, most of them Jews, in Auschwitz.
