In recent years, the phenomenon of "low age" of studying abroad is becoming more and more common. The Special report on the trend of studying abroad in 2016 published by Hurun Baifu shows that studying abroad at a young age has become the mainstream choice of high net worth people in China, with 30.57% of high net worth people inclined to send their children abroad to study in high school, ranking first; In addition, the number of junior high school students accounted for 13.76%, ranked third. It can be seen that the main body of students have been gradually transformed from college students and graduate students to junior high school and high school students.

According to statistics, the United States, Britain, Australia and Canada have always been the major countries for Chinese students to study abroad. They have world-famous popular schools, sound education systems and advanced hardware facilities. As a result, more and more international students are attracted to study here. In Australia, high school in New South Wales has become a popular choice for international students because of its excellent teaching environment, high-quality teaching resources and strong enrollment rate. According to the HSC scores of New South Wales schools in 2017 (equivalent to the national college entrance examination), the NSW Education Standards Bureau released the top 10 high schools in the HSC rankings:

The full name of HSC is translated by The Higher School Certificate, as "Certificate of High School graduation (examination)". The curriculum content of HSCs mainly includes basic courses, extended courses and vocational skills courses, and its examination subjects have more than 100 subjects, all of which are closely related to the contents of the courses studied. The aim is to give students more choices. Any examinee who has completed 4 to 5 courses and 10 test units, and the language (English) pass, can get the HSC certificate.

2017 was the 50th idea since the issuance of the HSC certificate in New South Wales, with a total of 68816 students receiving HSC certificates.

It is reported that James Russe Agricultural High School (James Ruse Agricultural High School) has been 22 years in a row won the first place in HSC scores in New South Wales. Sydney women`s high school (Sydney Girls High School) advanced to the top 10 in 2017, ranking fourth. Ashem School (Ascham School) is the only non-elite school in the top 10 high schools, and the remaining nine are Sydney`s old elite schools. The success rate, that is, the result of Band6 or E4 (HSC score is the highest in Band1-Band6, which means the score of each subject should be between 90 and 100 points), is the main basis of this ranking. This year`s rate has risen to 48.94 percent, compared with 46.52 percent last year, and competition among schools has intensified.

In addition to the top 10 strong schools, there are also a lot of "black horses" in the ranking. The (Fort Street High School) rose from 30th place in 2015 to 12th place in 2017 at Fortress Street Secondary School, Australia`s established elite school, thanks in large part to the school`s four students taking the first place in six subjects on the HSC test. (Moriah College Queens Park) has increased its position by 12 places to 15th place.

In addition, the top 50 high schools are all new state elite schools and private schools, comprehensive public schools are lower. Cheltenham Girls` High School (The Cheltenham Ladies' College) is the highest-performing high school in public schools, ranking 53rd as it did last year. This was followed by Willoughby Women`s Public Secondary School (Willoughby Girls High School) (61), Cherry Creek Technical Secondary School (Cherrybrook Technology High School) (68), Claia Senior Secondary School (Killara High School) (78) and Kalinford Public Secondary School (Carlingford High School) (79). Annual rankings, however, fluctuate and are fraught with uncertainty; but overall, Sydney`s elite and private high schools are strong and public schools are on track.
