Party chieftain Hanshan (Pauline Hanson), a one-party, is pushing for a referendum to coincide with the next federal election, allowing Australians to comment on whether immigration should be curtailed.
Senator Hansan announced on Thursday that she intends to introduce a referendum bill when Congress resumes in August and hopes that government and neutral lawmakers will support her initiative.
Han-shan said the "I`ve never had a say on immigration." of the people of Australia made some suggestions on how to set up a referendum.
"the question should be in line with `how many immigrants should Australia accept` and even ask `what level of population they think can sustain Australia`s lifestyle and quality of life`.
Immigration levels have become an ideological issue within the Unionparty, including reducing immigration intake to ease pressure on major population centres, following another conservative announcement by former Prime Minister Albert in 2017.
A poll by the Roy Institute`s (owy Institute) found that 54 percent of Australians believe the number of immigrants a year is too high, up 14 percent from last year and 17 percent from 2014.

Hanshan believes government relies on high immigration rates to support future GDP growth forecasts.
