Earlier, an Indian man was accused of domestic violence against his wife shortly after he came to Australia to attend school, and the woman, accusation, was accused of having committed domestic violence against his wife shortly after he came to Australia. Although the man`s domestic violence charges were dropped last year due to lack of evidence, he is still being held in immigration detention centres.

Singh (Singh) has been detained in immigration detention centres since August 2017, even though his domestic violence accusation was withdrawn 10 months ago, according to SBS.

In October 2016, Mr. Singh, 28, arrived in Australia. Nearly a month later, his wife reported to the police that Singh had repeatedly beaten her in the stomach, put her hand in her mouth and made her unable to breathe and forced her to take abortion pills.

The following day, court issued an intervention order for domestic violence in order to protect Singh`s wife. Thus, in addition to the termination of Mr. Singh`s relationship with the principal visa holder, his accompanying visa was revoked in March 2017. His subsequent application for a Class E bridge visa, (Bridging Visa), was also denied and is now an "illegal non-citizen".

The County Court of Victoria, however, had withdrawn its charges in April last year and had cancelled the last indicative hearing and hearing that was scheduled to be held later.

Singh claimed that the accusation against him was not true, criticising that his wife had been presumed guilty on the basis of his wife`s one-sided claim, and that his visa had been revoked and taken to a detention centre. Chandra (Sunny P Chandra), an immigration agent in charge of handling the detention center`s case, also said Singh should be released.

Marry change visa?

Singh revealed that he married his wife in January 2016. He said that although it was an arranged marriage, it was based on "exchange of interest", that is, the wife with a student visa should take him to Australia, and he would have to pay for his wife`s expenses in Australia in return.

"my family paid 2 million rupees ($40, 000) for her tuition and tickets."

Singh also said he came to Australia, found that his wife`s behavior has changed. "We did have an argument, but the so-called accusation, who beat her and gave her abortion pills, is not true."

"IELTS Bride"

There are growing concerns about such marriage, in which Australian student visa holders use their English-language credentials in exchange for economic benefits from their partners and partners` families.

It is understood that in India, the search for Australia and other developed countries "IELTS bride" advertisements are frequently seen in the press. These women are, intentionally or unintentionally, tools for some people to emigrate to Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

"I now realize that it is a great mistake to open such a relationship. She needed the money, and I got temptation from Australia. If I had not done so, I would not have been held in a detention centre. "
