Now, a cycling group is pushing for a new plan to repeal the legal requirement to wear helmets on bicycles.
The organization, in a report on Wednesday, said that more than 17-year-old should be able to choose whether to wear a helmet while riding on its own and safe areas.
The group`s chief executive, Craig Richards, said the number of bicycle casualties per year has not been reduced by wearing helmets. When wearing a helmet in a car accident, there was no reduction in fatality due to wearing a helmet.
