Four Labour MPs were forced to resign due to dual nationality, triggering by-elections, the Australian newspaper reported. Labour Financial Affairs spokesman Bowen (Chris Bowen) said he was confident that Labour would win four by-elections.
On Wednesday, the Federal Supreme Court ruled that Senator Gallagher (Katy Gallagher), the Labour capital territory senator, was unqualified to serve in Australia after he was forced to resign. On the same day, Labour Westminster Wilson (Josh Wilson), (Justine Keay), in a position similar to Gallagher, and Queensland Senator Lamb (Susan Lamb) resigned.

The Liberal Party did not introduce candidates in either constituency.
