The world health organization (WHO) has acknowledged the possibility of air-borne transmission of newly proposed virus by scientists around the world as of july 7, gmt (GMT), when global confirmed cases of new-type coronary virus pneumonia (COVID-19) increased to 11.925488 million. On the 4th of this month ,239 scientists from 32 countries around the world advocated COVID-19 possibility of air transmission and called on WHO to update the guidelines.

"We've found new evidence (COVID-19 could be airborne)," Dr. Aleglanz, WHO, said at a press conference in Geneva Thursday. It added that "we can not rule out the possibility of air transmission, especially in specific environments such as chaotic, closed and poorly ventilated" and that "further evidence needs to be gathered and explained ". "We have been exploring the possibility of air-borne transmission of aerosols (water particles smaller than droplets), as one of the modes of transmission of COVID-19," WHO technical director Kohoff (Maria Van Kerkhove) said at a press conference. A comprehensive epidemic response was needed to stop virus proliferation ", and she stressed the importance of the principles of distance and masks.

National government have been implementing immunization guidelines that maintain a distance of more than one meter, but this is likely to change based on WHO evaluation. Originally WHO thought that the main cause of Coronavirus infection is when the infected person coughs, sneezes, conversations with others from the nose or mouth out of the droplets (saliva), so has been committed to prevent the spread of droplets. WHO will send experts to China this weekend to investigate the origin of COVID-19virus.

Moreover, on 6 July, Zheng Yinjing, minister of Korea's central epidemic prevention response headquarters, said at a regular press conference about the possibility of air transmission ," this is the possibility of droplets passing through the respiratory tract after staying in the air for a long time, and I think this possibility needs further explanation ."
