SHANGHAI, february 11th-february 10th, china`s mainland new coronavirus had more than 1,000 death cases, a single-day high for new death cases, but fewer new infections.

As of february 10th 108 new cases of coronavirus pneumonia had been reported by china`s national health commission, a record high of one-day new cases of coronavirus pneumonia, with a total of 1,016 cases.

The number of newly diagnosed cases was 2,478, down from 3,062 on the previous day, and the total number of confirmed cases was 42,638.

This is the second time in the past two weeks that the number of new cases has declined, but the World Health Organization has warned that the number of new cases of coronavirus in people who have not been to China may be "spark prairie fire" and that humans must not let the epidemic get out of control.

According to WHO and Chinese health officials, there were 319 confirmed cases in 24 other countries and regions. There are currently only two death cases outside china, in hong kong and the philippines.

The Diamond Princess, with 3,700 passengers and crew, is still quarantined in the Japanese port of Yokohama, and 65 more are diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia, bringing the total number of confirmed cases on board the Carnival Group (CCL.N) cruise ship to 135.

Thailand`s health minister Anut in Charnvirakul said on Tuesday it had banned the port of its Holland America-owned cruise ship MS Westerdam, becoming the latest country to have a coronavirus epidemic in doubt to deny it access, despite no confirmed cases on board.

The company said on monday that passengers would disembark in bangkok on february 13th and there was no reason to believe anyone on the cruise ship had contracted the virus. The company is owned by Carnival Corp.

"I have given orders. Refusal of landing permit," anuting wrote in fb.

There were 1,455 passengers and 802 staff on board the Vistan, which had been denied entry by several countries, including Japan, the Philippines and Thailand.

More than 300 Chinese companies are seeking bank loans totalling at least 57.4 billion yuan ($8.2 billion) to mitigate the impact of the new outbreak, two banking sources said.

Among the companies seeking loans could be takeaway delivery giant Meituan Review (3690.HK), smartphone maker Xiaomi (1810.HK) and ride-hailing platform DiDi, the source said.

Asian stocks followed wall street`s lead on tuesday, even as doubts grew about how quickly chinese factories could resume work, given the continued spread of the new outbreak and the rise in death numbers.

China`s government has ordered city closures, flight cancellations, factory and school closures.

The province of Hubei, with a population of 60 million, is the worst affected province and is still closed, with stations and airports closed and roads blocked.

British Airways cancelled all flights to China`s mainland by the end of March, as British governance continued to advise against going to China as a result of a coronavirus outbreak. Airlines in the Philippines have cancelled flights to and from TW, after the country`s government expanded travel ban to restrict the entry of all foreigners from TW to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said Monday that government will prevent mass layoffs, state television reported.

Xi Jinping, who is conducting research and guidance on the prevention and control of the new pneumonia epidemic in Beijing, first went to the Anzhen Street Anhuali community in Chaoyang District to learn about the prevention and control of the epidemic at the grass-roots level and the supply of essentials for the residents. Then a video conference was held at the telemedicine center and it was noted that the long-term fundamentals of economics in china did not change, and the impact of the epidemic was only short-term, minimizing its impact on economic.
