Dutton (Alan Tudge), minister of citizenship affairs, said immigration to Rotary (Rotary Club) was enough to prove to the federal government that they were integrating into Australian society, Aussie news agency reported.

"there are signs that Australia is not doing as well as it used to be in developing a multicultural society," Dutton said. Immigrants must integrate, not separate (society). "

He is communicating with neutral lawmakers in an effort to secure their support for the government`s renewed push to introduce the naturalization bill. Last year, the bill was vetoed by the Senate.

The bill includes an English test for naturalized applicants and proof of loyalty to Australian values and commitment to social integration.

According to Dutton, immigrants generally need to stay in Australia for three to four years before naturalization. They should work hard at this time.

He said immigrants must speak and read and write English in order to improve their job opportunities and make them more likely to take advantage of Australia`s opportunities.

"in addition, we hope that immigrants will prove that they have tried to integrate (society) before naturalization. This is simple, such as sending your child to school, working hard rather than welfare, or joining a local football club or Rotary club to integrate into the community.

Last week, Dutton warned that failure to integrate could lead to the emergence of separatism. In immigrant areas, people do not adhere to national values or speak the same language.
