With the support of Labour City councillor, Zhou Shuo was not suspended from the Deputy Mayor of Ryde in Sydney.

Zhou Shuo, Chinese deputy mayor of (Ryde), northwest of Sydney, joined forces with Labour Mayor Rachel (Jerome Laxale) and other Labour City councillor to block the Liberal City councillor`s motion to suspend Zhou Shuo during an investigation by the New State Independent Commission against Corruption (ICAC) (ICAC).
