The U.S. presidential debate committee canceled the second presidential debate between Trump and Biden scheduled for Friday, according to CNN. The cancellation of the second debate was the result of 48 hours of intense discussions between the committee and the two campaign teams. This means that the third debate scheduled for 22 in Nashville is likely to be the last confrontation between the two candidates.

The Presidential Debate Committee announced Thursday morning that the debate scheduled to take place in Miami would take place in virtual form, as Trump tested positive for coronary virus. Trump quickly rejected the plan, saying he would not participate and raised questions about the future of the election debate.

Responding to a Trump, biden's speaker, they quickly said they would have had a virtual debate next thursday, but because the president did not, they would have asked biden to answer questions in another way. ABC news announced later in the day that Biden would participate in their city hall event.

"Vice President Biden looks forward to presenting his plan to the American people on how to overcome the epidemic, restore American leadership and our allies in the world, and bring Americans together. "Biden campaign speaker Andrew Bates said in a statement Friday. "Trump it is shameful to avoid the only debate on which voters raise questions, but it is not surprising. "

Trump campaign issued three statements on thursday, bashing the committee, putting pressure on biden's campaign, hoping biden would agree to a face-to-face debate and saying they would postpone the debate on october 15th for a week to october 22nd and then the third until october 29th, just days before the november 3rd election.

Yet Biden's campaign rejected their offer, and campaign speaker Kate Beddingfield responded :" Trump do n' t have authority to set a debate schedule; the debate committee has the power to set it. "

Trump the campaign team believes that the president's doctor, Dr Sean Conley, has approved that he can go out to public events and that the committee should have the debate face to face.

Trump are currently in talks with NBC to replace the debate, according to a insider. According to sources, the final plan has not yet been finalized. If the negotiation is successful, both candidates will attend town hall talks at separate events.
