Spring has traditionally been a hot time for (Central Coast) real estate on the central coast, with buyers and sellers hoping to settle down in new homes before Christmas.
Nerida Conisbee, the group`s chief economist, said spring was "the case of chickens and eggs."
"A lot of people like to go on sale because they know there will be a lot of buyers, and a lot of buyers know there will be more homes to go on the market."
"A lot of people`s houses look better in spring because they look monotonous in winter, and in summer they may be too hot to look for houses and people are on holiday."
Warm weather, longer days and beautiful gardens are just a few reasons why people sell things. Local TV host and photographer Ali Mutch and her partner Paul Staner said they thought spring was the right time to put their Bateau Bay property on the market.
"our jasmine blossoms and people will consider going back to the beach," Ms. Mutch said.
The couple had a 5-year-old daughter, Phoenix, who lived in a seven-bedroom house at 30 North Jingde, which saw the entire Terrigal.
Before listing her home in McGrath Long Jetty`s Col Bernasconi, the family had decided to replace the floor with a new kitchen, which Mutch said she thought would "upgrade" the home.
While Ali and Paul are renovating their homes, property buyers on the central coast are also considering entering the refurbishment market.
Wayne and Terri Lancaster have lived in coastal areas for five years.
They now hope to buy a renovation project near the northern crocodile they are currently renting.
The Lancaster family, from New Zealand, moved to Sydney after a period of time in London and decided to follow suit after seeing some friends move north.
"this is mainly for the way of life. It`s good for the children. It`s much quieter than Sydney. There are also places to park and convenient transportation, "Mr. Lancaster said.
"We started watching this place about three years ago, but we didn`t realize how long the process was, especially on the financial front. We decided to wait while saving more money. "
